Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and file sales and use tax returns in compliance with state and local regulations. Ensure timely submission of all required documentation and payments.
• Handle the processing of corporate tax payments, including the preparation of checks and arranging for their timely mailing. Maintain organized records of all tax payments and related documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of business tax returns.
• Collaborate with the finance team to gather and analyze financial data as needed for ad hoc reporting purposes.
• Stay updated on changes to sales and use tax laws and regulations that may impact the company’s tax obligations. Ensure compliance with all relevant state tax laws and regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all tax filings, payments, and related documentation. Ensure adherence to internal control procedures.
• Successfully complete ad hoc projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in tax preparation and compliance, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of sales and use tax regulations and business tax laws.
• 3-5 years of experience
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
