The Accounting Director will manage an Accounting team of 8 for a multi-hundred million dollar annual revenue business who are Private Equity backed. Located near Mansfield, MA – please review the job description and apply for further consideration.
Job Description
Lead and manage the accounting teams of 8 – hire, train and develop team
Collaborate with Vice President of Finance to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
Consolidate financial statements for the four business units into a consolidated set of group financials.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of consolidated financial reports in accordance with US GAAP standards.
Analyze and oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each business entity.
Review journal entries and accounting areas that require complex calculations.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance to assist in decision-making processes.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Oversee the accounting for construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking of costs, revenues, and profitability.
Implement measures to identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.
Conduct regular reviews of project controls and financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Conduct reviews of the entities’ Chart of Accounts and identify areas for improvement and standardization.
Coordinate and partner with the External Auditors for year end audit, address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Accounting Team
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the accounting function.
Assist with tech implementations and acquisition integrations.
Oversee the payroll function for each of the business entities.

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related Field
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related field – preferred, not essential
CPA – preferred, not essential
7 – 12 + years of tenure in Accounting, Finance or Audit
Successful team management track record essential
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Base Salary Range: $190,000 – $210,000
