Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk:
As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our company by:
- Maintaining the Vendor Library: Ensure accuracy and organization by maintaining the vendor library as an Accounting Clerk.
- I am logging Invoice Journal Entries: Record and track invoice journal entries to maintain accurate financial records as an Accounting Clerk.
- Handling Vendor Inquiries: Provide timely and professional responses to all vendor inquiries as an Accounting Clerk.
- Posting and Applying Payments: Process and apply payments as necessary, maintaining up-to-date accounts as an Accounting Clerk.
- Reconciling Bank Statements: As an accounting clerk, I conduct bank statement reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Setting up New Vendors and Maintaining Existing Vendors: Assist in setting up new vendors and maintaining existing vendors in accounting software as requested as an Accounting Clerk.
- Assisting with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as necessary as an Accounting Clerk.
- Assisting in Data Entry: Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently to support financial operations as an Accounting Clerk.
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Clerk:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- 0-3 Years of Accounting Experience Preferred: While not required, 0-3 years of accounting experience is preferred for an Accounting Clerk.
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting Preferred: An Associate’s degree in Accounting is preferred for an Accounting Clerk.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook for an Accounting Clerk.
- Attention to Detail and Strong Organizational Skills: Possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial tasks for an Accounting Clerk.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with colleagues and vendors for an Accounting Clerk through written and verbal channels.
