Accounting clerk

Our Five Star Salamander Resort & Spa is looking for a Part Time/ Seasonal Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate reporting of revenue and settlements.

Compiles and maintains accounts payable records. Process invoice for payment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

•    Responsible for all General Accounting processes.

•    Responds to vendor and internal inquires and resolves issues

•    Set up and maintains vendor files and vendor data base in accounting software 

•    Coordinate approval process of accounts payable invoices.

•    Review invoices for accuracy and proper account coding 

•    Prepares batches for payment processing

•    Review and audit invoices for accuracy and tax compliance

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

•    High School diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

•    One to Two years’ experience in a hotel environment.

•    Must be able to handle a high workload volume with organization and control.

•    Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions

•    Good communications skills, both verbal and oral.

•    Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.

•    Microsoft Excel skills a plus
