Job Description

The Accounting Assistant will assist the Sr. Accounting Manager in many areas including but not limited to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and month-end reconciliations.

  • Prepares, posts, verifies, and records vendor invoices and transactions related to accounts payable.
  • Creates goods receipts and AP invoices according to company practices.
  • Assist in paying bills weekly.
  • Assists in generating monthly customer billing statements based on the general ledger.
  • Assist with monthly credit card excel; download and send out to cardholders.
  • Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
  • Distributes accounting reports as directed.
  • Assist with mail distribution, filing, and other clerical tasks as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
  • Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of SAP accounting preferred
